'If It's Football, It's Vital'

KK Says: 'We'll Leave It Alone'

Kevin Keegan is not planning on making any changes for the derby with Sunderland on Saturday, as he believes the new three-pronged attack strikeforce of Michael Owen, Obafemi Martins and Mark Viduka is working well so he wants to maintain a level of consistency in his team selection to allow this to continue to grow.

'We'll leave it alone, and let the other players wait for the opportunity,' Keegan told the Evening Chronicle. 'Let's see when they get that, whether they can really take it.

'We're going forward. We're a work in progress, and hopefully we'll learn from the things we didn't do so well.

'The 4-3-3 formation is still working, and still creating. We're still causing other teams problems, and I think that will continue to be the case as long as every player puts in a shift.

'That's what is happening at the moment, and it's very hard to change it when these 11 players are so determined to win games, and do things right for the club.'

The old saying goes that is it isn't broke don't fix it, and I think it is fair to say that this applies to the Toon at the moment. So with that in mind Keegan has no need to change things, so why should he?
