Some of the players on the fringes of things at St James' Park might be fearing that their Newcastle days are numbered but Kevin Keegan has assured players such Charles N'Zogbia, Damien Duff and Alan Smith that they still have plenty to play for.
These three, for example, have not had a lot of involvement in the recent upsurge in fortunes for the Toon but Keegan has said that that the thought that players such as these are playing for their futures is putting it too strongly, and they are still in his plans. As such they can still stake claims for places next season.
Changes will be made at St James' over the summer, and some of these changes will involve players moving on as well as moving to Newcastle. Whatever Keegan says he will already have plans in his mind as to what he sees happening, if this future involves the likes of N'Zogbia, Smith and Duff only time will tell, would they have a future for you?
