Old Boy On The Move

Old Boy On The Move

The Sunday Sun report Newcastle old boy Clarence Acuna is on the move again in Chile.

Sunday Sun: 'Having spent a short spell at Santiago-based top-flight club Palestino, the midfielder has joined their city rivals Union Espanola.

'The two clubs share the Santa Laura Stadium in the Chilean capital, and Acuna's move has sharpened an already edgy rivalry.

'Now 30, Acuna left Newcastle in October 2003, three years after arriving in a £1 million move from Universidad de Chile.

'He subsequently suffered a serious knee ligament injury while with Argentinian club Rosario Central, but returned to action last October at Palestino.'
