Freddy: 'Emre HATES Milan'
Newcastle United chairman Freddy Shepherd was quick to snub reports that Emre was struggling to settle on Tyneside and was going to return to Milan. Freddy says Milan would be the last place the midfielder would end up ... even if Newcastle DID decide to sell him.
Reports from Italy last week had claimed AC Milan were considering a move for the player who wore the shirt of deadly rivals Internazionale before joining the Magpies.
The Turkish international has never made waves since joining Newcastle, but reporters seem determined to say he is unhappy at the club. Shepherd has moved to reject the rumours and insists the player has no intention of returning to Italy.
Shepherd: 'If AC Milan want Emre, it is news to us. But why would he want to go back to Italy when he could not get away quickly enough last summer?'
