Keegan on loss ... again (AUDIO)

It's going from bad to worse for Newcastle United. The seemingly ridiculous notion that the Toon Army could be dragged into a fight for survival has become a coarse reality in some quarters, with the Tynesiders just 3 points above the drop zone.

Kevin Keegan's record in his second coming as manager reads 5 losses in seven Premier League matches, and despite last week's display versus Blackburn, there were fewer positives to take from their trip to Anfield.

Newcastle's defensive problems are there for all to see, and it's now a case of when it rains it pours as the first half showed. Their resistent seemed to have paid off until Jermaine Pennant's freak goal on 42 minutes was quickly followed a minute later by Fernando Torres' 7th goal in 4 games before Steven Gerrard wrapped it up early on in the second half.

In his post-match media briefing, Keegan says that's the hand his team are currently being dealt.

Things are looking up, only let in three this week. Keegan has obviously been working hard with the defence. Big game up next versus Brum another loss and another team above you.

Toon seem a little upset mate, something getting to you? Couldn't be the continuous floggings by any chance? Been over to the Spurs forum to read about and commented on a 4-0 victory, know what one of those is? No, what about a victory? Talk to you in a few weeks after you have been relegated you fool.
