'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Keegan hopeful (AUDIO)

It may not have been the start Newcastle fans may have envisaged but that won't let Kevin Keegan get too despondant.

The second coming of the man dubbed 'The Messiah' is yet to yield 3 points with the Magpies without a win since a last-gasp Joey Barton penalty which downed Fulham back in mid-December.

However, ahead of the trip to Liverpool, a match which envokes so many emotions from King Kev's first tenure, the Toon boss says his side are much more confident after a decent performance against Blackburn last time out, which they lost late on despite dominating.

Newcastle are still only 3 points above the drop zone.
