'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Midfielder sought

Wanted: One central midfielder. Must be able to beat a man, slip passes to centre forwards through the eye of a needle, break down knacka teams like Bolton and Boro and be able to track back and do the donkey work when required. Peter Beardsley need not apply.

Manager's report on the job spec:

'We want some creativity, we've got some genuine players who can pass the ball and will pass the ball better when they are confident, but in terms of opening teams up, we're probably a little bit limited. Emre is the only one who can get Michael Owen in. Apart from that we want anybody else who can improve the team.'
